First post from Live Writer!
So here's the test for success! If this works then all is right with the world.
Only a few little issues I have with the software, mostly the lack of explanation on how to do things like set up Akismet or Feedburner - there are links provided to the sites, but you'd think a short blurb, or link beside the objects to walk you through how to do it for Graffiti would help.
That and the fact that every post seems to create a new directory for itself in the site. I'm not sure why that is, probably something to do with the system itself, but I guess by the time you get to your thousandth post that'll be a lot of directories if you change hosts or sites.
There is a Rebuild Pages area in the Site Options however, so perhaps that rebuilds the site files from the database when you migrate.
Other than that, it's all been really straightforward and I'm enjoying it already.
I am wondering if there will be a pictures plug-in or option or whatever so you can set up a gallery. Maybe a Flickr widget will come down the pipeline or something to feed that need.
All in all, I'm much happier with how easy this looks to manage over Community Server, which was a little bit of overkill for my little blog.
I could see using this for a few websites I'm looking at creating for other folk (perhaps) in the future... depending on what the licensing ends up looking like.
And my other thought when I first heard about this is a go too - there is editorial workflow settings in Graffiti, so if you wanted to create the next Joystiq or Engadget or whatever, you can easily set it so you have multiple authors, who can post - but then need to be edited and published before it appears on the site.
Great stuff from the Telligent team!
